3D-Problem of Wave Motion in a Fluid Around a Cone

Abstract

Stationary wave motion of an ideal non-compressible fluid in a domain limited by a free surface and an infinite cone with the vertex on a free surface is considered. Wave motion is caused by the bottom movement. The problem is set for the velocity potential within the framework of the linear dispersion theory. By means of integral transforms the solution of the problem is reduced to a functional equation which has a solution in the particular cases. In assumption of smallness of angle between liquid free surface and cone surface analytic solution of the problem which contains dependencies from inclination angle is made.
